Welcome to Bourke Business Consultants, your friendly neighbourhood accounting practice in Alexandria. We're a tight-knit team with over 20 years of experience, specialising in helping small to medium businesses navigate the maze of financial statements, tax returns, and more.
But we're not all about the paperwork. We're passionate about sharing advice on tax matters, business structures, and growth strategies. John embarked on his professional journey in Public Practice when he was only 22 years old, and by his late twenties, he was already practicing. His early entrance into the field allowed him to gather a wealth of experience in accounting and taxation across a diverse range of businesses and entities. With more than three decades under his belt, John has navigated through all possible business scenarios during his impressive 37-year career. He is not only an experienced professional but also a friendly and empathetic individual who finds true joy in guiding his clients through their unique financial journeys. John's extensive network, which includes friends and associates from various fields, is a valuable resource he can tap into as and when required. Outside the professional sphere, John has a zest for life that is reflected in his keen interest in sports and music.

Andrew, a dedicated professional, has been a key part of Bourke Business for over two decades, having joined the firm right after he completed his studies at the University. Over the years, he has meticulously gathered a wealth of knowledge and experience in various areas, matching the comprehensive expertise of his fellow partner. His tenure at Bourke Business, which extends over twenty fruitful years, has seen him evolve and adapt to the changing business environment, proving his mettle time and again.

John Papas has been exclusively working for Bourke Business, providing specialized accounting services. His background includes roles in large commercial entities, spanning finance, management accounting, team management, mergers and acquisitions, system design and implementation, and general project work. Having worked in large corporations, John has a firm understanding of the interactions between the various functions of a business. He enjoys applying these experiences to smaller businesses. John is highly proficient in Xero and MYOB. Outside of work, John has keen interests in music, travel, and tennis.

Upon graduating from university and accumulating over five years of experience, Connor has fully embraced his role working directly with Bourke Business Clients. He is proficient in the Xero Accounting Package and BGL for Self-Managed Super Funds. Eager to foster closer relationships with the practice's long-standing clients, Connor is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. Outside of work, he has a keen interest in soccer and Jiu-Jitsu.

He has wide experience in the Accounting and Taxation of all types of businesses and Entities as well as in business generally. John has experienced all the things a business can encounter in the 37 years he has practiced. John is friendly and very personable. He has empathy towards his clients and enjoys being involved in his clients’ journeys throughout their financial lives. John has a wide network of friends and associates he can refer to when needed. Outside of work John has a keen interest in Sport and Music generally.
